Orion Talent, the nation's largest military recruiting firm, is currently recruiting transitioning or former military professionals for a Federal and Military Sales Manager position with a longtime independent superstore supplying new & used professional photo, video & audio equipment.

Position Details
Location: New York, NY
Compensation: $150K base salary plus bonus structure
Shift: Monday - Friday 9A - 5P, some non-traditional hours may be for travel or trade
Travel: 70%

Position Description
As a Sales Manager, your main responsibility will be to interface with and support established customers, as well as seek out and develop new business, particularly in the military market. You will establish and maintain successful business relationships with military and federal government professionals to grow sales by effectively communicating the approved product information and using available resources. Keys to success in this role will be effective communication and identification of various personality types and key customers. Resilience and the ability to remain politely engaged with the most engaged and distracted individuals will be essential. You will engage customers on site, at trade shows, or on the phone, taking the opportunities to build a relationship with the client, and market yourself as the best provider for all their technology needs. You will create mini-marketing campaigns to target end users.

Position Requirements
--- Ability to network and develop business, overall professional demeanor.
--- Knowledge and understanding of the government procurement process.
--- Valid Driver's License, able to gain and maintain access to military installations.
--- Previous sales experience is beneficial, but not required.
--- Military Officers, especially those with logistics and contracting backgrounds, ideally suited.
